SunTrust Bank Nigeria Limited has launched a new digital financial platform, YESMONEY, designed to empower Nigerians with access to secure transactions, savings, and microloans.
The unveiling ceremony, held at the Radisson Blu Anchorage Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos, attracted key regulators, technology partners, financial agents, and media representatives.
Speaking at the event, Dr Afolasade Alonge, Regional Business Executive for Lagos and the South-West, described YESMONEY as a major milestone in SunTrust Bank’s digital transformation journey.
“YESMONEY was built for everyday Nigerians — the trader, the artisan, the student, and the small business owner. It gives them the power to save, transact, and access credit safely from their mobile phones,” she said.
According to her, the initiative reflects the bank’s unwavering commitment to expanding financial inclusion and creating practical solutions for underserved communities.
Sunday Olaniyan, Head of E-Business at SunTrust Bank, said the platform integrates essential financial services into one digital ecosystem.
“We are simplifying finance and making inclusion real. With YESMONEY, users can manage their finances with the same ease they chat or shop online,” Olaniyan stated.
He explained that the platform also features a digital marketplace that enables users to buy, sell, and transact securely — bridging the gap between traditional banking and the unbanked population.
SunTrust Bank said the launch aligns with Nigeria’s growing mobile technology landscape, positioning the institution as a key player in the country’s evolving digital finance ecosystem.
The initiative, according to the bank, demonstrates its long-term vision to make banking simpler, faster, and more accessible to millions of Nigerians.
