Suspected electric cable vandal electrocuted in Adamawa

A suspected electric cable vandal has been electrocuted while trying to remove electric armored cable in a transformer at famous Mahmoud Ribadu square in Adamawa state capital.

Police Public Relations Officer, Suleiman Nguroje disclosed the development in a press statement issued in Yola Sunday, explaining that the incident occured in the early hours of the day.

“The Adamawa state police command has today 19/1/2025 found a yet to be identified person   at electric transformer along Ribadu square around 0600hrs, while trying to vandalize some electrical cables.

“Unfortunately part of his body meets live electric current which causes him an electric shock and serious injury, leaving him unconscious as the  body has been evacuated to hospital for expert opinion.

“Investigation is ongoing for more recoveries and more details while the  Commissioner of Police CP Dankombo Morris Dankwabo warned people to keep off from electrical transformers and report anyone seen around for immediate action”.
