As part of activities slated to mark the 50th birthday of the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara some prominent Nigerian Yesterday attended a charity football match competition organised in his honour.
Some of the personalities who attended the event were; Governor of Sokoto state, Aminu Waziri Tambueal, President Dangote group Aliko Dangote, Femi Otedola, clerk of the National Assembly, Sani Omolori, Senior special assistant to the President on National Assembly matterd, Kawu Sumaila, his friends in the Legislative, executive arms of government and the private sector.
The match was well attended as National Assembly played Private Sector which ended 3-1 in favour of the private sector, the e match between Senate and House of Representatives ended 3-1 in favour of the House, while serving versus Former principal officers. ended 1- 0.
Chairman of the organizing committee, Sen. Tanimu Aduda, said the proceeds from the event will be used to cater for the needy, less privileged, orphanages and internally displaced persons.
