The Taraba State House of Assembly on Thursday clarified that Deputy Governor Alhaji Aminu Alkari is undergoing treatment and recuperating in an Abuja hospital.

Instead, efforts are being made to ensure his recovery and return to duty.
“We call on the general public to disregard the speculations that the Assembly is preparing to declare the Deputy Governor incapacitated,” Len said.
Meanwhile, the Mumuye Cultural Development Association (MCDA) has weighed in on the issue, stating that if the Deputy Governor’s seat is declared vacant, the replacement should come from the Mumuye tribe.
