The Taraba State Government has donated 11 operational Hilux vans to the Taraba State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) to boost their operational capabilities in the State.
This was contain in a statement signed on Tuesday by Supritendant of Corps, Iliya Samaila, Public Relations Officer of the Command.
It stated that while handing over the vehicle keys to the State Commandant of the NSCDC, Gov Agbu Kefas of Taraba said the government had deemed it necessary to assist the Corps with logistics to boost its capability to effectively tackle criminality in all the nooks and crannies of the state.
The statement quoted Kefas, who was represented by Mr Timothy Kataps, charging the Corps to go after all the criminals operating in the State without any fear.
It further stated that Commandant Adamu Salihu, State Commandant of the Corps, while receiving the vehicles, thanked the governor for always providing support to the Corps in times of need.
