From Lawal Sa’idu Funtua, Katsina
The defeated gubernatorial aspirant of the Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP) in Katsina State, Alhaji Abdullahi Umar Tsauri, (Tata) has defected to the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA).
Rumour of his defection started through gossips on the social media, shortly after the aspirant walked out of the venue of the PDP gubernatorial primary election.
However his media aide, Alhaji Garba Coach told our correspondent that his principal has joined APGA and would contest the governorship election under it.
“Yes Tata has joined APGA and would contest the governorship election under it. We are currently in Kaduna meeting over it’.
Similarly, Tata wrote on his FaceBook page that he is leaving the PDP for either the Labour Party or APGA to realize his ambition.
Tata alleged that he was blocked from freely contesting the primary election of the PDP by the party and the governor of the state.
He alleged that he was tear gassed while entering the venue of the primary election.
