The world’s attention is on one place at the moment; the renewed Israeli-Palestinian hostility. The world woke up to a surprising Hamas attack on the unsuspecting Israeli government and the reprisal non-stop attacks that have followed from the Israeli Defense Force, IDF. It is globally acknowledged that the attack on Israel was uncalled for and orchestrated by the Hamas and while the world is not by any means in support of Hamas on the attack, the whole world is nonetheless worried about the magnitude of reprisal attack targeting innocent civilians in Palestinian enclaves and the humanitarian crisis that is developing in the region in the last few days.
My target today as I attempt to underline the causative factors to the endless struggle for identity by the Palestinians is to address possible solution pathways to the problem and hope that the United Nations would at this point look beyond affiliations and vested interests to the realities of the Palestinians who long, by the years so gone, and still every other day, to have a sovereign nation they would call their own without interference from external interests. That their own land would cease to be a synonym of an open space prison for their people.
November 2nd 1917 marked the movement by Britain to create in Palestine a state and home for the Jewish people. Britain, with the support of other Western nations, particularly the US, achieved this objective some 32 years later. It is of note that at that material time, over 90 percent of the inhabitants of Palestine were not Jewish, of course, the bulk of Jews were in Europe being persecuted, but 32 years after, over 80 percent of them had gone, either killed by the various wars and invasions aimed at achieving the set objective of creating a nation for the Jews on Palestine land, or forced to flee to nearby Arab nations. We must all remember that that was also the period when the Palestine land was under the control of the British government; the decision to take a part of their land without their consent was a major blunder that obviously precipitated the problem that lingers till now. Rather than dialoguing with the owners of the land, Britain negotiated with the Zionists, who shared the goal of a Jewish nation in Palestine. These were a Jewish set that had long concluded that rather than the continued persecution and antisemitism in Europe, they rather return to a more familiar ground and had chosen Palestine as their final destination.
The arrangement was to establish a Jewish settlement in Palestine and promote Jewish culture and religion in Palestine. And they started off, setting off funds to promote Jewish movement to Palestine and setting up companies in Palestine, acquiring lands and creating formations to actualise their sinister ambition on another man’s land.
When in 1947, the United Nations with underground forces of the British and the United States, forced an Israeli nation on Palestine, on their own land, the unending problem started; it has been one war after the other, with attempts from both sides to exert control or extend control. This has continued until the Palestinians population is reduced to rubbles; killed, maimed and forced to flee their land while Israel that occupied from the beginning less than 30 percent of the land mass continues to expand territory on another man’s land.
When, between 1947 and 1949, three-quarters of all Palestinians living in historic Palestine were literally and violently expelled from their ancestral lands by the Jewish Zionist militias and their lands, about 400 towns, and taken destroyed, where was the rest of the world? That was the genesis of the creation of the nation of Israel on the occupied Palestine land; today, the Israelis and their allies celebrate the realisation of the dream of founding a nation, but for the Palestinians, and over 2.3 million people living in open prison in Gaza, it is the awful remembrance of the Nakba, the “catastrophe” as it is referred to by the Palestinians.
Trump during his presidency, again exerted the superpower of the United States of America by recognising Jerusalem as the capital of Israel. This act literally means that the Palestinians have no right to the ancient city, and subsequently were pushed out and to implement Trump’s one-sided Middle East Peace Resolution. We must all remember that before then, both Palestine and Israel claim the city of Jerusalem as their capital. As Muslims, Jews and Christians, the city is regarded holy; yet, it was delivered to the Jews on a platter of gold by the Trump administration.
The entire Europe and the United States watched for decades after assisting in the occupation of the lands of Palestine, as unrest brewed and regularly break out and the Palestinians get killed; and it has continued to appear that way, as long as it is not the Israeli that are on the receiving end of the brutality and are not the casualties and the rampages are happening behind the camera. I only hope that this time around, we will all be human enough to recognise and speak justice to the real plight of the Palestinians in their stranger-occupied territory.
It thus appears that the Jews have captured Europe and Israel has become a subject that must not be spoken against. They have set up such a control machinery across the European nations, controlling organisations, infrastructure and concerns that force the hands of these nations and their people not to go against their devilish desires. For the first time, we are seeing the United Nations, the US and the rest superpowers from the West, reluctant to speak openly against human right violations and the humanitarian crisis erupting from mass killings of the innocent, including children by the Israeli forces. .
What is the West afraid of, or why can’t the West, the almighty United Nations and the Human Rights bodies see the difference between Hamas attack on Israel and the Israeli massacre of innocent Palestinians under the guise of searching for Hamas. Is the Israelis’ hold on global systems as strong as it appears to be now? Why would the so polarised American political system easily find it easy to immediately unite behind Israel and its continued onslaught on innocent Palestinians. Israel has everyone in the jugular; no one would speak ill of the powerful Jewish nation without consequences. Israel owns everything, from the banking industry, the finance institutions, oil and gas industry, pharmaceuticals, automobile industry, airlines, hospitality industry, media, food industry and name them all. And they have now proven they own the entire West and all its global watchdogs. Israel owns the international community and international laws do not appear to apply to the nation, at least from the obvious in recent days.
They open their eyes and watch as Israel continues its attacks on humanity and without adequate medicare for innocent children, women and men of Gaza and the entire Palestinian nation. They are flattening Gaza, killing thousands of innocent citizens on their own land for the sins of a set they equally refer to as a terrorist group. Israel arbitrarily targets the unarmed and innocent, against international humanitarian laws and the West is not only silent but is busy organising support for Israel to sustain the Palestinian Holocaust.
The media propaganda I have seen in the last two weeks is best described as unprecedented; apparently in control of major international media outfits, Israel has weaponised the media to propagate the most anti-Palestinian rhetoric that validates the genocide going on in Gaza. It works so well that you begin to see the Christian community even here in Nigeria rallying their support for the decimation of Gaza and urging Israel on. Why? Because to them, the God of the Bible is fighting for his children, the Christians. Yet, in reality, as we speak, Christians in Jerusalem are under as much humiliation and attack as the non-Christian Arabs in Gaza and the whole of Palestine. Infact, they would not know that as much as 50 percent of the Palestinians in Gaza that are being murdered hourly are practicing Christians. The Jews are not Christians and dislike Christians as much, yet, they project to the world that they are protecting the interest of Christianity in Israel.
It is now a fact that the Western news channels are altogether mouthpieces of Israeli horrors on Gaza and the Palestinians. The world has continued to witness and record continuous Israeli horrors on Palestinians since 1948? Who has been on the side of Palestine and the Palestinians? Why is it that the Palestinians continue to get little to no attention from the Western leaders? Double standards; Israel has been carrying out genocide on Palestinians for decades, why are there no UN sanctions? Double standard; what then is the offense of Russia? Why the many aggressive sanctions against Russia?
Did the Israeli IDF indirectly accept responsibility for the bombing of the Church of Saint Porphyrius on Thursday 19, October 2023? Who mistakenly ordered an attack that killed children seeking safety in a church? Imagine if it was a Jewish synagogue that was bombed that day. The world will wake up to this event, and we will see all leaders rushing to Israel to show solidarity with it, we will hear the strongest expressions of condemnation and condemnations, yet all support is still for Israel. Why? because all world leaders are mere slaves in the service of Zionists and Masonic thought.
Gaza, for decades, has been converted into the biggest open-air detention camp to ever exist, with over 2.3 million people held hostage and thousands maimed, killed, and exiled for all the reasons determined by the Israeli government. But the world is fixated on the 1,400 killed by Hamas in Israel on October 7 2023 while they are careless about the long-term suffering of the people of Gaza and the entire Palestinian population.
While no rational human being would support the killing of the reported 1,400 civilians on October 7, 2023, and I personally condemn the killing of any unarmed civilian, the story did not start on Octobe 7, and until we return to the genesis, I don’t see a respite and solution in sight for the current trouble in the Middle East.
The global propaganda has been that the Israeli-Palestinian conflict has been a religious struggle; they have fed the ignorant world with the lie that it is a tussle between Christians of the Bible and Islam. But the truth is that the Jews that occupy the Palestinian lands are never Christians, but majorly believers in Judaism and partly Zionist. On the other hand, the owners of the occupied land that they are making us believe are Muslim are substantially Christians.
We are at a point where silence is no longer golden; we are at a point where the whole world must speak to the suffering of the Palestinians in their own land. Hamas is not the problem; it is a consequential child born as a necessity to the oppression of the people of Palestine and one that must be quench, but not this way. It is a project of two wrongs cannot make a right. We must first of all remove the gags that make the Palestinians slaves and prisoners in their own land, taken over by Israel occupation in the last 75 years. And then, the Hamas question would be naturally easier to resolve. But for now, how do you imagine that a people would legitimately and democratically vote in Hamas to lead them, if not that they see no other solutions and they desperately need one.
When will the same power that created the chaos recognise it is time to solve the problems created? When will the Palestine be allowed to have a sovereign nation of their own with distinct landmass and recognised government. The two-nation proposition time for full implementation is now. Otherwise, the region will forever be embroiled in chaos of wars and counter wars, and for sure, the Palestinians would never be cleansed off the land for Israel to fully occupy.
Right now, all eyes are on the world powers to do the needful.
