President Bola Tinubu has congratulated Senator Basheer Lado, his Special Adviser on National Assembly Matters (Senate), on his 60th birthday, which falls on October 16.

Tinubu described Lado as a dependable public servant and accomplished legislator whose experience in lawmaking and public administration has contributed to strengthening relations between the Executive and the Senate.

In a statement issued on Thursday by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the President commended Lado’s contributions to public service and democratic governance in Nigeria.

Lado represented Kano Central Senatorial District in the 7th National Assembly from 2011 to 2015, where he served as Vice Chairman of the Senate Committee on Works.

According to Tinubu, Lado contributed to protecting vulnerable Nigerians, combating human trafficking and improving the welfare and rehabilitation of displaced persons through his roles in public administration.

He further commended Lado’s humanitarian activities through the Ladon Alheri Foundation, which supports education, healthcare, women’s economic empowerment, rural water supply and disadvantaged communities.
