By Egena Sunday Ode

President Bola Tinubu has announced the creation of a new ministry of livestock development.

This came as the President inaugurated the Renewed Hope livestock reform implementation committee at the Presidential Villa, Abuja on Tuesday.

The Renewed Hope livestock reform implementation committee, which was set up in September last year, was headed by the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Umar Ganduje.

But he has now been replaced by the former chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Professor Attahiru Jega.

The committee was established to deal with the issue of recurring farmers-herders clashes in the country.
