From Femi Oyelola, Kaduna

Governor Uba Sani, of Kaduna State has revealed that President Bola Tinubu has been a key supporter in the execution of all road projects and other infrastructure development in the state over the past three and a half years.
Governor Sani expressed this during the launch of 11 road projects in Zaria and Sabon Gari local governments at Fillin Mallawa at the weekend.
The governor also highlighted that President Tinubu has facilitated federal government projects in Kaduna State, such as the Kaduna Light Rail.
While expressing gratitude to the President, the Governor noted that Kaduna and Lagos States are the only recipients of the project, which is expected to transform mass transit.
He further added that the N1 trillion Light Rail Project will commence in the next two months, with contractors already mobilized.
“In the next week, the groundbreaking ceremony for the Mando-Birnin Gwari Road, which will connect Kaduna to Birnin Gwari town, will take place. The president has paid N100,000,078,000,’’ he stated.
The governor mentioned that all development projects in Kaduna State are achievable thanks to the support from both the citizens and the government.
‘’So, it is our duty to vote for President Bola Tinubu. We should give him 98% of our votes.
“That is the best way to show our appreciation for his good gestures toward Kaduna State,’’ he added.
The Governor also called on the people of Zaria to re-elect House Speaker Tajudeen Abbas and encouraged all residents of Kaduna State to support the APC in the upcoming elections.
Regarding the 11 road projects launched in Zaria and Sabon Gari, he assured that they will be finished within five months.
He described the groundbreaking as a significant step forward in the Urban Renewal and Rural Transformation Program.
The governor stressed that the project ‘reaffirms our unwavering commitment to building infrastructure that expands opportunity, stimulates economic growth, and improves the quality of life of our people.’
‘’Roads are more than stretches of asphalt. They are the arteries of every society, connecting communities to opportunities, farmers to markets, businesses to customers, students to schools, patients to healthcare, and families to each other,’’ he explained.
He added that ‘where infrastructure is strong, commerce grows, investments increase, and hope takes root.’
Since the start of his administration, he said, they have prioritized infrastructure not just as public works but as a tool for inclusive growth and shared prosperity.
Governor Sani’s administration has launched ‘150 road projects covering more than 1,355 kilometers, with most already completed. These projects demonstrate their dedication to ensuring development based on fairness, equity, and the legitimate goals of the people,’’ he stated.
House Speaker Tajudeen Abbas praised President Tinubu’s love for Kaduna State, saying he has done what no other president has for the state.
He pointed out that there was only one federal university in Kaduna, established in 1963 by the late Premier of Northern Nigeria, Sir Ahmadu Bello.
‘’Since then until now, no president or head of state has come close to establishing such a large tertiary institution.
“But now, under President Tinubu, our Federal College of Education has been upgraded to the Federal University of Education, adding two universities in Zaria,’’ he noted.
Abbas also mentioned that Tinubu has created a new Federal University of Applied Sciences and that, three weeks ago, he converted another institute, the Petroleum Training Institute, into a university.
He revealed that last week, the President mentioned plans to upgrade Kaduna Polytechnic into a Federal University of Technology within the next few months. When this happens, Kaduna will have five universities.
