Tinubu to deliver Sardauna Annual Lecture in Ilorin Jan 17

The former Governor of Lagos state and leader of All Progressive Congress(APC) Asiwaju Ahmed Tinubu has been billed to delivered the lecture on leadership qualities of the late Premier of Northern state on January 17,2015.

The President-General of Kwara Gamji Club, an association promoting political ideologies of Sardauna of Sokoto, Dr. Abubakar Laaro, who disclosed this in Ilorin, during a special prayer for successful and peaceful conduction of 2015 general election  said the lecture was a continued demonstration of Gamji clubs commitment to the imperative and sustenance of all-inclusive exemplary and inspiring leadership qualities  of the Late Sir Ahmadu Bello.

He said that  the state governor, Alhaji AbdulFatah Ahmed is expected to be the Chief Host, Senator Bukola Saraki , the grand Host while the Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, the Royal Host.

The prayer, he noted, formed part of activities marking the Gamji Day celebration which had been slated for the January 17 and will hold in Ilorin, the state capital.

The Gamji Club of Kwara state, which organised a special prayer for a successful and violence-free 2015 general elections yesterday at  the palace of the Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari had in attendance the executives and members of the Gamji club.

While delivering a lecture at the event, an Ilorin-based Islamic scholar, Imam Sulyman AbdulRafiu Alaaya, appealed to Nigerians to intensify prayers for the country and the entire world,  for peace and stability to continue to reign.

Alaaya prayed God to grant Nigeria absolute peace before, during and after the general elections and appealed to Nigeria leaders to emulate the leadership qualities of the late Sardauna of Sokoto, Sir Ahmadu Bello, who, according to him, saw power as a mere service to humanity.
