Tinubu’s projects will secure him massive victory in 2027, says Kano APC spokesperson

Kano State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has claimed that the infrastructure projects executed by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will earn him massive victory in the 2027 general election.

According to Auwalu Soja, the state publicity secretary of the APC, criticism from opposition parties will not affect the party’s chances during the elections.

Soja said the Federal Government’s ongoing development projects across northern Nigeria demonstrate the administration’s commitment to the region and contradict allegations of marginalisation.

In a statement made available to journalists in Kano, Soja cited the ongoing Ajaokuta–Kaduna–Kano (AKK) Gas Pipeline and the Kaduna–Kano–Maradi standard gauge railway as key federal projects being executed by President Tinubu.

According to him, the projects are clear evidence of the Tinubu administration’s investment in the North and invalidate claims by critics that the region has been neglected.

He said the APC in Kano would intensify mobilisation efforts to secure millions of votes for President Tinubu and Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf in their respective second-term bids during the 2027 elections.

Soja also commended Governor Yusuf for what he described as people-oriented projects across Kano State, including road construction and empowerment programmes targeted at women and youths to promote self-reliance.

The APC spokesperson also dismissed reports that party members in Kumbotso Local Government Area had defected to the National Democratic Congress (NDC), insisting that the party remains united and firmly established in the area.

He described the reported defections as false and alleged that they were orchestrated by the Kwankwasiyya movement to divert attention from what he called its “internal leadership crisis.”

“Soja urged the Kwankwasiyya movement to focus on resolving its internal challenges instead of engaging in baseless propaganda,” the statement said.

He further argued that Kano voters would not be influenced by what he described as the political tactics of the Kwankwasiyya movement, claiming that the NDC was created to serve the interests of a few individuals.

According to him, the APC continues to enjoy the support of key political stakeholders and influential figures in Kumbotso, adding that the party has no knowledge of those allegedly involved in the reported defections.

Soja also said party members appreciated Governor Yusuf’s efforts to attract investment opportunities to Kumbotso, which he said would boost economic activities and create employment opportunities for youths.

He called on residents of Kano State to disregard reports circulating on social media about alleged defections in Kumbotso, maintaining that the APC remains strong, united and intact in the local government area.
