Toptier Sports Management, NNL Hosts Kick-Off Strategy Session for 2026 Season

Date:

Toptier Sports Management (TSM) and the Nigeria National League (NNL) have held their strategic kick-off session ahead of the new season, reaffirming their shared commitment to strengthening the structure, visibility and commercial value of the league.
TSM, sponsors of both the NNL and the Nigerian Women Football League, has been working closely with league management to establish governance frameworks designed to ensure long-term sustainability and operational excellence. The partnership has focused on building foundational systems that will enhance transparency, professionalism and competitive integrity across the league.
As part of its expanded investment in the NNL, TSM has commenced strategic interventions in key areas including indemnities, digitization, broadcast production and branding.
These initiatives are aimed at modernizing league operations, improving club compliance standards and elevating the overall match-day and fan experience.
Discussions during the strategy session also centered on plans for the upcoming NNL Super 4 tournament. TSM and NNL officials are currently finalizing the date and venue, with a formal announcement expected in the coming weeks.
In a major boost to the league’s media presence, Team 33 Production has begun live coverage of selected matches at the Mobolaji Johnson Sports Arena, Lagos. Fixtures already covered include First Bank Lagos versus Abakaliki FC on February 20, 2026; Inter Lagos versus Crown FC, Ogbomoso on February 21, 2026; and Sporting Lagos versus Godswill Akpabio FC, Uyo on February 23, 2026.
Notable attendees at the strategy session included Chichi Nwoko, Chief Executive Officer of Top Tier Sports Management; Emmanuel Attah, Chief Executive Officer of the NNL; Danlami Alanana, Chief Operating Officer of the NNL; Nicholas Akujobi, Chief Administrative Officer of the NNL; Abideen Fasasi, Chief Accountant of the NNL; and Babawale Sadiq, Head of Production at Team 33 Production.
The renewed collaboration between TSM and the NNL signals a bold step toward repositioning Nigeria’s second-tier league as a professionally run and commercially attractive competition capable of nurturing talent and driving football development nationwide.
