The traditional medicine dealers in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) have called on the government at all levels to give recognition to the traditional medicine dealers who are registered with the National Association of Nigerian Traditional Medicine Practitioners (NANTMP) in the territory.
The chief of traditional medicine in Gui ward, Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC), Dr Dahiru Haruna Iddo, who made the call while speaking with Peoples Daily Correspondent on behalf of traditional medicine dealers in Iddo community, advised the people to always buy herbs from genuine traditional medicine sellers.
He said he would continue to fight against those selling fake herbs in the territory, while appealing to the security agencies to join hands with the leadership of NANTMP to apprehend those selling fake herbs in the FCT and its environs.
Haruna Iddo, however, warned the youths against engaging themselves in the sale of fake herbs to the people in the society.
