The Rector of Nuhu Bamalli Polytechnic, Engr. Dr. Muhammad Kabir Abdullahi, has commended Kaduna State Governor, Senator Uba Sani, CON, for his transformative interventions that have repositioned the institution.
He noted that under the governor’s leadership, all dilapidated buildings and hostels across the campuses have been renovated, giving students a more conducive environment for learning and accommodation.
According to him, the state government also funded the re-accreditation of over 40 academic programmes and introduced 21 new ones, significantly expanding the academic portfolio of the polytechnic. He urged students to take advantage of the broader opportunities now available.
The Rector further acknowledged the role of Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFUND), whose intervention projects have upgraded facilities and enhanced teaching and research resources in the institution.
Students expressed gratitude to the governor and TETFUND for the transformation. Maryam Sani Adam said the interventions had “changed the face of the school” and renewed their motivation to excel, while Andrew Mikel praised management’s success in securing re-accreditation and expanding programmes as proof of commitment to academic excellence.
For the 2024/2025 session, the polytechnic admitted 4,596 students across its ND, NCE, HND, and IJMB programmes.
