Kaduna State Governor Senator Uba Sani has condemned the killing of 12 citizens from Kaduna State in the troubled Mangun District of Mangu Local Government Area, Plateau State, describing the act as one of savagery.

In a statement he signed and made available to the media in Kaduna yesterday, he expressed his shock and deep sorrow upon hearing about the deaths of these citizens.

It was reported that eleven others sustained varying degrees of injuries in the attack while traveling to the Quan Pan Local Government Area for a wedding ceremony.

Governor Uba Sani insisted that those responsible for this crime must be apprehended and dealt with accordingly.

He urged security agencies to spare no effort until these criminals are brought to justice.

“We must put a stop to the nefarious activities of non-state actors. There is no justification for anyone to attack any citizen of Nigeria in any part of the country. This madness must end – enough is enough.”

Uba Sani also called on Plateau State Governor Barrister Caleb Mutfwang to take decisive action in response to this unfortunate incident.

He urged Mutfwang to take full charge of the situation and direct the operations of security agencies until the murderers are apprehended.

“I will follow up on the progress made in the investigations and field operations to capture the criminals,” he stated. “We must communicate that impunity will no longer be tolerated.”
