The Accountant General of Kaduna State, Hon.Bashir Suleiman Zuntu, has lauded Kaduna State Governor Senator Uba Sani for his transformative, impactful, and women-oriented programs and policies, saying this was done through various interventions and empowerment as well as appointments of women into key government positions.
He asserted this during the presentation of a cash grant to 500 women from the Kubau Local Government Area via Kubau Women for Uba Sani in collaboration with the Kubau Local Government Council.
According to him, Governor Sani has brought a remarkable improvement in the fortunes of women in the state.
Zuntu gave graphical details of how the governor’s policies and programs have significantly improved the economic and social standing of women across the state.
He maintained that Governor Sani recently launched three groundbreaking policies, including the Kaduna State Women Economic Empowerment Policy, the Women Peace and Security Action Plan, and the Youth Peace and Security Action Plan.
The Account General, who is the founder of Kubau Women for Uba Sani, said the Association was formed in 2022 when he was the Chairman of Kubau LG with 2000 members who played significant roles in the election of Governor Uba Sani to office in 2023.
He said people of like minds like the member representing Kabua in Kaduna state House of Assembly, Hon.Ilyasu Shehu Yunusa, the current Chairman of Kubau LGA, Hon. Musa Saleh Banki, and himself decided to put their resources together to empower the women because if you empowered a woman, you have empowered the whole family.
