The Kaduna State government has promised to provide a robust working relationship with the members of correspondents chapel, describing them as partners in governance.
The Chief Press Secretary (CPS) to the Kaduna State governor, Uba Sani, Mallam Muhammad Lawal Shehu disclosed this when he met with members of correspondents chapel yesterday.
He pledged to work towards mending any possible gaps that existed in the relationship between the State government and media practitioners.
He emphasized the importance of collaboration in promoting accurate reportage and projection of a positive image of Kaduna State.
Speaking about his visit to the chapel, the CPS said that it is part of move to foster a healthy relationship with the media and ensuring transparent communication with the public
Lawal stressed the importance of balanced reportage and urged correspondents to always fact-check their reports.
Responding, the Chairman of the chapel, Alhaji Abdulgafar Alabelewe assured the CPS of good working relationship with the government.
