The Non-Academic Staff Union of Universities and Associated Institutions (NASU) of the University of Abuja on Tuesday elected the executive members of the union.
The elected officials are: comrade Usman Dahiru Okolo; chairman, comrade Daniel Onu Emmanuel; secretary while the position of treasurer went to Mrs Sadiya Hassan.
In an Interview with newsmen after the election, the elected chairman of the union, Dahiru Okolo, said his leadership would carry the members of the union along in scheme of things.
He also said he would join hands with other executive members to move the union to the next level, adding that he would take the losers of the election along.
He pointed out that he would always listen to any member or officials who would provide useful advice that could arrest the problems facing the union.
Okolo, who is a staff of the security unit of the University, said he would give priority attention to the security men of the institution before any other department in the University.
