The Vice- Chancellor of the University of Abuja, Prof. Michael Adikwu, has advised the matriculating students to desist from the social vices such as cultism, examination malpractices, truancy as well as extremism throughout their studies in the institution.
Adikwu, gave the advice during the matriculation of fresh students over the weekend at the university , also charged the students to combine the pursuit of learning with strict moral rectitude.
He further urged the students to always obey the laid down rules and regulations guiding the University Community, calling on them to abide by the code of conduct of the institution.
He assured the fresher’s that the management of the University would gear towards repositioning the institution for better, while requesting the co-operation of the students at all times.
He told the matriculating students that the doors of the University Administration was opened for any genuine complains or grievance whether an academic issues or welfare.
Adikwu, however, congratulated the new matriculants of the Institution and urged them to be good ambassadors throughout their staying in the University.
