Vice-Chancellor of University of Benin, Professor Godwin Osayuki Oshodin has bagged an award of excellence for his contribution to the development of the institution and humanity.
The immeasurable support to the Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ), and outstanding qualities of Professor Oshodin in the past five years at the saddle of leadership in UNIBEN informed the gesture.
Chairman the Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ), Edo state Council, Comrade Desmond Agbama represented the President of the union, Mallam Mohammed Garba at the brief presentation ceremony in the school on Wednesday.
Agbama, who was accompanied by a cross session of state and national officials of the union, described the Varsity Don as a shining example, having provided the platform for Academic to strive in UNIBEN.
He described the spotlight of infrastructural development of the school under his watch during his tenure as VC, as eventful.
