The United Nations Children Education FUND in collaboration with China Africa intervention project has injected $1millon to address the menace of high rate maternal and new born child in Kwami local government area of Gombe state.
The project which was meant to address the menace of high rate maternal and new born child has also improved tremendously in renewing the structure of primary health care facilities to modern building.
A staff of primary health care, Mohammed Adamu who stood in for the incharge of the facility at Malleri PHC told Journalists that the project was able to provide adequate doors, toilets, a labour room and water to ease the problem facing the facility.
He said the facility which had a serious challenge without proper maintenance have gotten a new shape due to intervention project organized by UNICEF-CHINA to benefit the masses.
He appealed that government should not hesitate to support the facility with beds to ensure that patients are treated effectively.
