An estate surveyor and valuer ESV Peter Eke said upholding ethics in estate surveying and valuation practice in Nigeria is very important.
ESV Peter stated this in Abuja , yesterday.
He described Ethics as principles and values that guide human behaviours, decision-making, and interactions. He said it also involves considering what is right from wrong, good behavior or bad in various contexts, including personal, professional and societal settings.
According to him, Estate Surveyors and Valuers, play a crucial role in the estate industry.
“An estate surveyor expertise and professional advice on real estate matters and impacts significantly in financial decisions making hence make ethical conduct essential.”
He said that there are various reasons why ethics matters a lot in estate surveying and valuation practice such as

He said maintaining the confidentiality and the information of clients must be protected.
He said objectivity it’s very important we avoid conflicts of interest and maintain impartiality
