Leadtimes Africa Magazine’s Strategic Leadership Summit on Good Governance is billed to hold next week at the University of Lagos.
The summit, according to the organisers, will attract participants from all walks of life, including captains of industries, technocrats, state commissioners, secretaries to states’ government, lawmakers, local government administrators,military and para-military personnels, professionals, traditional and religious leaders, NGOs, politicians, among others.
A press statement signed by Professor Buba Mshelia, co-covener of the program, said, “few selected professionals and business icons will be decorated with honorary doctorate degree awards by Highstone Global University, Texas, USA during the ceremony.”
The theme of this year’s edition of the summit is “Promoting Integrity, Transparency and Accountability in African Leadership-Pathway to Sustainable Development in Africa.
The statement said Vincent Ezima, a veteran media consultant and public speaker will be the guest lecturer at the occasion while Professor Gerald Ndubuisi Okeke, a certified Safety and Environmental specialist will serve as one of the guests of honour at the occasion.
Also, the Managing Director/CEO of PIE Management Technology and Educational Consultancy, Dr Isaac Chukwu Ndupuechi, and Dr. Aishatu Ngulde, former Executive Secretary of Borno State Education Endowment Funds will serve as Special guests respectively.
Ekiti State House of Assembly Speaker, Hon.Adeoye Stephen Aribasoye is among the personalities to be honoured by Highstone Global University,Texas, USA come next week.
The Speaker will be honoured with doctor of Public Policy and Administration(honoris causa) in recognition of his outstanding leadership qualities that has placed him above his contemporaries before his emergence as Speaker of Ekiti State House of Assembly and even at this period of his speakership.
Others are Ekiti State Commissioner for Information, Olatubosun Taiwo; General Manager, Supply Chain for FIDSON Healthcare PLC, a management technology expert and fellow of Nigerian Institute of Management, Mr Raphael Ajayi, well known for his diligence and transparency in service delivery, will bag an honour in Business Administration and the Group Managing Director/CEO of Dradrock Real Estate Limited, Mr Oladipo Idowu Agida and GMD/CEO of Carlcon Group, Mr.Chris Ndibe, Mrs Ifeoma Catherine Otiji, fellow of Chartered Accountant of Nigeria and Mr Ayuba Quadri Olayemi also a fellow of Chartered Accountant of Nigeria will both bag doctor of Business Administration(honoris causa) at the ceremony.
Other professionals listed for the university honour also include the Managing Director/CEO of Fon Apple Integrated Services Limited, Mr. Onyemem Ndubuisi Frank; Mr Alhassan Muhammad, a fellow of Chartered Accountant who is currently serving in the office of the Accountant General of Gombe State will be conferred with doctor of Business Administration(honoris causa) for his high level integrity in quality service delivery to humanities.
Also, the Chairman of Onitsha District of the Institute of Chartered Accountant of Nigeria, Mr Okeke Uchenna Emmanuel is penciled down for doctorate degree award by the institution as well as the Partner/Head of Training,Oak Interlink Company,Mr Ernest Ovie Shaka who has stood out as a renowned professional business manager and Consultant, will also be decorated with doctor of Business Administration (honoris causa) come next week at the University of Lagos.
Other nominees selected for the award included Barr. Eleso Damilola Moyosore,an amiable TV producer,a brand and communications manager, will at the occasion bag a degree in Communications and Creative Arts of the institution; the MD/CEO of Chrisantbeth Investment Ltd, Mrs Ahmed Lami Onayi, a renowned real estate professional and entrepreneur who has distinguished herself in her professional calling will be recognised with doctor of Business Administration (honoris causa) at the occasion as Engr. Akinola Julius Akinsola, CEO, Soak Generator Company, an accomplished engineer and entrepreneur who will also bag doctor of Business Administration (honoris causa) respectively.
High Chief Hon. Marcel Okoro, SA to Imo State Governor and Akinola Abolarinwa, MD/CEO of Blom Tech Infrastructural Limited and Mr.Harriman Aghogho of Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission are also listed for honor at the ceremony.Mrs Ijeoma Okikechi Chima of Abakaliki District office of ICAN; Managing Director/CEO of Gongoni Company Limited,Alhaji Abdullahi Halidu and a multi-talented business icon and Chief Executive Officer of Navitas Realities Limited,Mr Ibeh Damian-Mary Okezie and Mrs Franca Ijeoma Ikpe, Proprietress of De Great Graceville Schools,Ogun State, are all among the awardees of the Highstone Global university, Texas,USA.
The occasion will also witness the conferment of the Prestigious Leadtimes Africa Businessman of the Year award to an outstanding African
business mugul and accomplished philanthropist and entrepreneur,Engr. Dr. Abubakar Sadiq Mustapha, GMD/CEO of Trade and Tech Group.This award is in recognition of his global business activities that has impacted so much on the Nigerian people particularly the youth and his unparallel philanthropic gestures over the years through youth empowerment programs and award of scholarships to the less privileged members of the society, among others.
