He urged the National Universities Commission (NUC) to make clinical legal education mandatory for the curriculum of all law facilities to ensure maximum impact of legal education on the Nigerian legal system.

The varsity don appealed to the stakeholders in law profession to consider a review of the relevant law to allow students to appear in court in selected cases.

Speaking earlier, the former Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Dahiru Mustapher called for the review of the law to suit the present realities on ground.

Mustapher urged the law students to face their studies squarely, saying that the primary purpose of law is social justice.

He called on the members to co-operate with him to move the association to the next level.

The chairman, however, disclosed that the leadership of the association was able to finance the constitution review committee set – up by the law faculty to look into gray areas of the constitution.
