Nigerian media personality and social commentator, Martins Vincent Otse, popularly known as Verydarkman, has described the senator representing Kogi Central, Natasha Hadiza Akpoti-Uduaghan, as “too emotional” to succeed in politics.

VDM, in a viral video circulating online on Monday, said many of the senator’s actions during her political face-off with Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, failed to address the real concerns of ordinary Nigerians.

According to him, Nigerians were more interested in leaders providing practical solutions to economic hardship than engaging in political battles.

“Personally, I am not saying anybody should vote for Natasha because, to me, she appears too emotional to be a politician,” he said.

He added, “Whether she does this or that does not really matter to ordinary Nigerians. What people expected from her, she did not do.”

The social commentator also accused politicians of frequently defecting between parties without improving the welfare of citizens.

“What Nigerians want is simple: tell us one clear way our lives will improve and how the wealth of this country will benefit the people,” he stated.

VDM further alleged that Akpoti-Uduaghan’s disagreement with Akpabio appeared more like political blackmail driven by personal interests.

“To me, I do not think this is what responsible politicians should be doing. At the end of the day, it all appears to be about personal ambition and political positioning,” he added.

He also questioned the senator’s achievements in Kogi Central, claiming her visible contributions were limited to charity activities.

The commentator equally criticised former Kogi State governor, Yahaya Bello, over his reported Senate ambition.

According to him, Bello failed to significantly develop the state during his eight-year tenure as governor.

“Can you imagine why the APC would still put Yahaya Bello on the ballot for Senate?” he queried.

“If he could not do anything meaningful as governor, what exactly will he now do as senator?” VDM added.

He alleged that Kogi State remained underdeveloped despite Bello spending “eight good years” in office.

VDM also claimed that loyalists within the ruling party would continue defending political figures despite allegations surrounding them.
