Governor Isa Yuguda of Bauchi state and former minister of state Health, Dr. Ali Pate has been conferred with a traditional title of Dan’isan Misau and Cigarin Misau of Misau emirate of Bauchi state.
Performing the coronation ceremony, at the weekend, at the Emir’s palace in Misau, the Emir of Misau Alhaji Muhammadu Manga said he bestowed the traditional titles on the Governor Yuguda and Dr. Pate based on their outstanding contributions towards the development of the community, state and the nation.
Manga said the two titles were reserved for the class of princes in the emirate to which Yuguda and Dr. Pate belong.
The Emir of Misau, who spoke through Wazirin Misau, Ambassador Babaji Misau said “the occasion symbolises the recognition as well as reward of excellence by the entire Misau emirate as exhibited by the relentless effort of the two celebrants towards the educational, socio-economic and political developments of not only the emirate and Bauchi state but also of the country at large”.
He commended them for their support to the emirate and service to humanity and urged them to do more.
The new Dan’isan Misau, Malam Isa Yuguda, who spoke on behalf of them, expressed their appreciation to the emirate for the honours done to them and pledged that they will not disappoint the emirate.
The occasion was attended by first-class emirs, politicians, businessmen and government officials from within and outside Bauchi; among them are Alaafin of Oyo Oba Lamidi Adeyemi, Mai Kaltungo, Mai Fika in Yobe among others.
