Attendance of worshipers at Easter Sunday church service in Warri South and Uvwie Local Government areas of Delta State was impressive in almost all the churches in the locality, while the directives of the state government to observe the protocols of the Covid-19 virus towards curbing its spread were adhered to strictly.
At the Living Faith Church Parish ( aka Winners Chapel ), Abala Street, off Enerhen Junction in Uvwie the resident pastor, Prince Obeta, affirmed that the turnout of members for both first and second services was very impressive, adding that the sermon for the service was hinged on “Understanding The Power of Resurrection : What are its benefits ?”
While asserting that Christianity was the hallmark of all religions, he advised Deltans and Nigerians to depend on the power of resurrection of Jesus Christ “ So that we can move forward.”
At the neighboring Mountain of Fire and Miracle Ministries, Midwest Regional Headquarters 1, the presiding minister, Pastor Moses Odunsi, in his sermon noted that Easter was about the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
He warned Christians against Christ’s second death as he noted that it would not augur well for the Christendom.
The minister in charge of Christ the Apostolic Church ( CAC) Cathedral, Warri, Pastor Emmanuel Orode, in a brief chat with newsmen gladly noted that the turnout of members for the service was heartwarming, adding that the sermon of the church service was titled : ‘’Warfare” because people are living in difficult days due to satanic operations.”
