We are yet to endorse Presidential candidate – Kano APC elders committee

The leaders of the three legacy parties made up of Alhaji Musa Umar of the defunct ACN, Mallam Muktar Kwaru, ANPP and Hon. Garba Bala of the CPC in Kano state have rejected claims that they have endorsed a presidential candidate for the 2015 general election.

In a statement issued by the trio in Abuja yesterday, the three leaders rejected a media publication by Ambassador Kabir Rabiu and Saleh Jelli, carried in a national daily which claimed that the elders committee of Kano State APC has endorsed the candidature of Engr. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso for the presidency, which they said was far from the truth.

“There is no any formal elders committee of the APC in Kano State yet. What we have is a committee of leaders of the legacy parties who have no knowledge of such committee.

The trio also denied knowledge of the signatories of the communiqué saying the two are not members of the legacy parties but members of Kwankwasiyya group and therefore cannot speak for the legacy parties.

Recalled that Ambassador Kabir Rabiu and Saleh Jelli had 5th September 2014, issued a communiqué claiming that the elders committee of Kano State APC has endorsed the candidature of Engr. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso for the presidency.
