Catholic Bishop of Sokoto Diocese, Matthew Kukah said on Thursday that Nigerians need restoration of normalcy to the security situation in the country by all means possible.
Fielding questions from newsmen at the Aso Rock Presidential Villa,Abuja after the swearing-in of the new Minister of Defence, General Christopher Musa (retd), the Christian Cleric said with the appointment of Musa who was a former Chief of Defence Staff, President Tinubu appeared ready to reposition the issue of sscurity in the country.
Said he: “Look, I mean, everybody knows what the problem is. We just need restoration of normalcy in this country by any means possible. And I think that this job is in very good hands. It does seem very clearly that the President wants to reposition issues of security, and I think the situation is in very good hands.”
Kukah added: “Look, rain, thunder, sunshine, whatever it takes to get this mess under control. These guys need to be flushed out. Normalcy needs to return to our country. Laughter and joy has to come back to Nigeria within the shortest time possible, all we do is to pray for the best.”
