Kano State Deputy governor and the All Progressives Congress (APC)’s gubernatorial candidate, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, has assured the party that the state would deliver hundred percent votes to the APC presidential flag bearer, General Muhammadu Buhari (rtd) in the next month’s presidential poll.

According to him, the party in the state is working hard to give maximum votes possible to the former Head of state in the coming elections.

Ganduje, who gave the assurance while addressing journalists in his office yesterday, said that the state’s APC is also canvassing for support even from those that are not in the party to give their votes for Buhari during the election.

“We are ready for this year’s election and by God’s grace we shall succeed. We are working very hard to give 100% votes to our president in waiting, General Muhammdu Buhari. If possible, we are also begging and canvassing the support of all those that registered, even those that are not in the APC, to give their votes to Buhari” he said.

The deputy governor described the current problems bedeviling Nigeria as man-made calamities, stressing that overcoming the problems requires an upright person with political will like the former Head of state.

“The problems of this country are man-made calamities and overcoming them requires somebody who is upright, has political will, who is strong and not afraid to fight injustice no matter what would happen to him or any other person.”

He assured that Kano, as the most populous state in the federation, would contribute its quota to ensure that it leads other states in giving the maximum votes to the presidential candidate during the elections.

The gubernatorial candidate vowed to consolidate with the existing projects being executed by Governor Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, as well as introduce new innovations in the bid to make the state a mega city if elected as the state’s governor in the forthcoming elections.

He assured that his administration would lay a huge emphasis on human and infrastructural development, stressing however that the rural areas would also get a bumper share of agricultural and infrastructural development.
