The Niger state Deputy Governor, Alhaji Ahmed Mohammed Ketso has said that in the last few days government has been engaging with security agencies to ensure the release of abducted 136 Salihu Tanko Islamiyya Students in Rafi Local Government Area.
Ketso, stayed this while fielding questions from newsmen at government house in Minna.
He however, refuted claims that it deliberately ignored the parents and people of Tegina.
This is coming after parents including the head teacher of the Islamiya school lamented government’s nonchalant attitude and stands on ransom payment, saying their children have been left to their fates.
Also speaking on ban on all illegal parks in Minna the state capital, the Deputy Governor said, as part of plans to decongest the state capital, only government approved parks will be allowed to operate.
