Women are bedrock of development, says Kaduna governor’s wife

he wife of Kaduna state Governor, Hajia Fatimah Murktar Ramallan Yero has described women as the bedrock of development in the society and a critical tool for unity, peace, security and development,

She made the assertion in kaduna yesterday while presenting empowerment materials to over 100 cooperatives and religious organizations in the state.

According to the Kaduna state first lady, the education and empowerment of women is an assurance of education for the nation. “It is a common saying when you educate a man you educate an individual but when you educate a women you educate the nation because as mothers and wives the skills and knowledge they acquired are directly or indirectly passed across to their peers.

“it is line with the this principle that we are giving out this materials which includes desktop computers sets, deeper freezers, sewing machines water pumps and noodles making machine to over 27,600, women who are not employed to start something that will benefit their family.” She said

Mrs Yero said women should be taken seriously in order to lay a good foundation for our county and tackle the major vices bedeviling the nation” She also appealed to all politicians seeking elective post to stop using children as political thugs because such action contradicts all norms and scriptures and violators will incurred the wrath of Allah if they did not desist from such acts.
