The South East Good Governance Advocates (SEGGA) has charged the newly elected National Working Committee (NWC) members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) from the zone to work towards the economic and social development of the region.
SEGGA in a congratulatory message to the elected National Officers of the APC and jointly signed by its National Coordinator, Amadi Patrick and National Secretary, Gozie Chika said the election of the NWC members is a reflection of the growing political influence of the region in the political landscape.
Those elected include; Dr. Ben Nwoye (Deputy National Chairman, South), Hon. Donatus Nwankpa (National Welfare Secretary), Chief Uguru Mathew Ofoke ( National Treasurer), Dr. Ijeomah Aridogbu (Zonal Chairman, South East) and Barr. Emeka Okafor ( Deputy National Organizing Secretary).
The group who took time to highlight the different qualities possessed by each of the NWC members, charged them to always have the zone as their number one project because of the need to attract quality development to the region.
“Dr. Ben Nwoye has consistently demonstrated intellectual depth, administrative competence, and strategic leadership in party affairs, particularly during his tenure as a former state chairman. His ability to build consensus and navigate complex political terrains stands him in good stead for his new national assignment.
“Hon. Donatus Nwankpa brings to the table a rich background in grassroots mobilization, party organization, and legislative experience. His understanding of the welfare needs of party members positions him to strengthen internal cohesion and morale across all levels of the APC. We can also say the same about the other newly elected NWC members”, the statement noted.
Speaking further, the group added; “They must work collaboratively to bridge trust gaps, strengthen grassroots structures, and project the APC as a viable platform for development, equity, and national integration. Their leadership should also contribute meaningfully to the success of the party across Nigeria, in line with the broader vision of good governance and sustainable development.
“SEGGA remains confident that with dedication, integrity, and purposeful leadership, these distinguished individuals will justify the confidence reposed in them and leave a lasting impact on both the party and the nation.
Once again, we congratulate them and wish them a successful and impactful tenure”, it concluded.
In the South East, two new people were victorious in the election as Dr. Ben Nwoye replaces the former Deputy National Chairman (South), Chief Emma Enukwu, while Barr. Emeka Okafor takea over from the former Deputy Organizing Secretary, Nzeh Chidi Duru.
