World Cup: Iran in Brazil waiting for Eagles’ arrival

The Super Eagles World Cup Group F opponents, Iran became the second countries, to arrive in Brazil for the global showpiece.

The world football governing body, FIFA, in a statement on its official website yesterday, said that Iran landed, shortly before Croatia, at the Sao Paulo International Airport, Brazil at 4:10p.m. (local time).

Australia was the first of the 32 teams to land in Brazilian territory last week.

The Iranians will start their World Cup campaign against Nigeria on June 16 in Curitiba, after which they are to face Argentina on June 21 and Bosnia and Herzegovina, June 25.

According to FIFA, upon arrival in Sao Paulo, Iranian Coach, Carlos Queiroz, said that his team would do everything possible to have a successful campaign at the World Cup.
