Toure who was assisting Italian coach Roberto Mancini before his appointment, stated that the role is the actualization of a long-term desire to work on his own “project”, and has been studying the team in readiness of the start of his job on Monday.

“As an assistant, I had the opportunity to work with Robert Mancini, for example, but I’ve longed for a long time to be able to work on my own project as a head coach. I really can’t wait for Monday; I’m excited about what lies ahead.”
