No fewer than 350 women are to recieve training on various acquisitions skills by Youth and Civil Society Coalition For Development with support from Federal University Dutse (FUD) and Nigeria Television Authority (NTA).
The training which was flagged off on Monday, aimed at creating jobs and eradicating of poverty among the teeming youths in Jigawa state.
Speaking at the occasion, the state governor Malam Umar Namadi commended the organizers of the training.
The Governor who was represented by the executive secretary, State Directorate for empowerment, noted that youths and women empowerment is one of the key aspect for his 12 point agenda designed to make people self relaint, promote wealth creation, building strong and resilient economy for making Jigawa great.
“We have already renovated and equipped six major skill acquisition centres in the state, and many youth and women are already there receiving various skills training , therefore we are ready to partner with any group or individual.
