Youths implored to be selfreliant

The proprietor of Royal Gem International Academy, Mr. Benjamin Obute has urged youths to be selfreliant, so as to contribute their quota to the development of the society.
Obute made this call when he received great motivator award from Abuja branch of Affa Youths Progressive Association (AYPA) at its cultural day celebration, coronation and award presentation at Nyanya.
The proprietor who chaired the occassion with the theme: ‘Sustaining Our Cultural Heritage’ said the essence of being self-reliant should be taken more serious by all youths.
He linked his success in life to self reliant and commitment, which he encouraged youths to see him as their role model.
Obute said that his interest was to ensure that the youth live up to the expectation by championing the communities’ development, which would continue to be spread to youths unborn.
He advised those who have not been honoured to ensure that they selflessly do things that would enhance development.
In his welcome address, the president of Abuja AYPA, Chief Ikenga Ude commended members and non members for their cooperation that made the event a success.
Ude said since the existence of the association about a decade ago, the association has among others been able to, empower some of its members through skill acquisitions and gainful employments; adult education for members and non members to enable them excell and; working towards upgrading Affa police station to police division.
