A coalition of All Progressive Congress (APC) youth stakeholders on Wednesday stormed the national secretariat of the party demanding the appointment of Nicolas Felix as Minister of Youth by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
The placard carrying youth which read, “The youth have spoken; Dr. Felix for Minister of Youth, “the man we need as Minister of Youth is Dr. Nicolas Felix” among others, requested that Tinubu heed the voice of the youths and appoint Nicolas Felix as their Minister.
Briefing journalists, the Chairman of the Forum, Comrade Ikechukwu Norbert said the youth are simply demanding the appointment of Nicolas Felix as their Minister by President Bola Tinubu.
“As young stakeholders in the party, the ministry of youth which is our primary constituency is very dear to us. Its our greatest desire to have a Minister of Youth who’s young, friendly with a striking personality, acknowledgeable, and versatile in the areas or issues that concerns young people.
“Mr. President sir, this Forum is of great minds, professionals, youth influencers in our great party that worked tirelessly towards your victory hereby endorse Dr. Nicolas Felix, the Deputy National Youth Coordinator, Presidential Campaign Council (PCC) for your consideration as Minister of Youth.
“Dr. Nicolas Felix needs no introduction, he’s a young refined 42 years old gentleman, youth influencer, outspoken, a role model with great academic distinction”,
“Please, Mr. President, give us Nicolas Felix to consolidate the Renewed Hope Agenda”, Norbert stated.
President Bola Tinubu on August 20th approved the redeployment of three Ministers, including Engr. Abubakar Momoh, who was earlier appointed as the Minister of Youth and redeployed to the Federal Ministry of Niger Delta Development.
That redeployment has left the Ministry of Youths without a minister for now.
