The Jigawa state chapter of Youth Wing of Christians Association of Nigeria (YOWICAN) commended president Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Jigawa state governor Malam Umar Namadi for the donations given to Jigawa Christians in this festive season.
The commendation was made by the Jigawa YOWICAN chairman Stephen Bashiru Oladije shortly after the distribution of six hundreds bags of rice to Christians in the state.
Speaking at the distribution points in Chatholic Church, Dutse, the chairman JIgawa state chapter of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Rev. Father Morris Collins Hassan, said the donation is from the president Bola Ahmed Tinibu through Jigawa governor Malam Umar Namadi to the christians fellowship for the Christmas celebration.
He said, the palliative came through the JIgawa state government.
“JIgawa state commissoner for special duties called us in the instance of his excellency governor, Malam Umar Namadi and we received 594 pieces of 25kg bags of rice as some of the bags turned up as palliative for christmas”.
Rev. Father Morris Collins Hassan said, “as you can see, we brought it here and we are sharing to all christians in JIgawa state”.
According to him, the commodity would be shared to all christians across the 27 local government areas of the state through the CAN coordinators or representatives whom were to collect and share in their local governments.
