The National Senior Citizens Centre (NSCC) has given 50 bags of rice, chicken and cash to older persons in Chibiri Community at Kuje local government Area in Abuja to celebrate Christmas.
The Director General, Dr Enemy Omokara who led others management staff for the NSCC to present items yesterday to the older persons in Chibiri Community, reaffirmed that it mandate is to improve old people lives in Nigeria.
According to her, the present administration find it necessary to improve older people and introduced NSCC to move closely to the older persons and thanked the community especially the women for receiving warmly.
“We find it necessary to come to your community, we care for you especially the elders, that is why we are here to support you, we came to help you, also let you know your rights to get health insurance and what some of you can still to support Nigeria,”She said.
Speaking earlier, Chief of Chibiri Community, Alhaji Ishaku Sakokoyi, commended his subordinates for coming out in number to received the visitors.
He noted that the community are very happy and appreciate them for fining them worthy among other communities to celebrate with during this festivities.
In her remarks, the representative of the financial institution who’s bankroll the items, Ladidi Mbaka said they chose to comes Chibiri Community to show love to the older persons because the community has a lot of older persons and promised to do more next year.
