The Zamfara State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has commended the effort, commitment and dedication of the Minister of State for Defence, Dr Bello Mohammed Matawalle and security agencies for effectively coordinating the rescue and safe return of all the abducted students of Government Girls’ Comprehensive Secondary School, Maga, Kebbi state.
According to the statement by the APC Publicity Secretary, Yusuf Idris Gusau, “this effort is not the first time in the service of Matawalle as Minister of State for Defence, which further demonstrated and justified his capability in running the office.
“The rescue of all the females in good and sound condition in less than a week from President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s marching order on the Minister to relocate to Kebbi state for the onerous duty appeared worthy of commendation.
“We want to say a big kudos to all the security agencies and their ever ready personnel who professionally rescue the victims and urged them to maintain the tempo until the whole nation is safe.
It further commended Matawalle’s approach to insecurity, which he deployed while serving as Governor of Zamfara State, has again been exemplified in coordinating the successful rescue of the abducted Maga school children.
The party also commends President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for putting the lives of his people first by cancelling all his scheduled engagement to monitor the security situation in the country.
We also congratulate the Kabbi state government under the leadership of His Excellency, Dr. Nasiru Idris and the parents of the abducted girls for the safe rescue and return of their children unhurt and in good condition of health.
