Zamfara APC Congratulates Former Speaker Magarya on Appointment as NPC Commissioner

The Zamfara State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has congratulated former Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Nasiru Mu’azu Magarya, on his appointment as Federal Commissioner representing Zamfara State in the National Population Commission (NPC).

In a statement signed by the party’s Publicity Secretary, Yusuf Idris Gusau, the APC described the appointment by Bola Ahmed Tinubu as well-deserved and in recognition of Magarya’s contributions to governance and party development in the state.

The statement noted that the appointment “did not come by accident,” stressing that Magarya earned the recognition through his leadership role in shaping and stabilizing the Zamfara State House of Assembly. It added that his tenure was marked by the enactment of impactful laws and effective legislative oversight.

“We share with pride the confidence reposed in the new appointee by Mr. President and assure that he will continue to be a good ambassador of Zamfara State,” the statement said.

The party also expressed appreciation to key stakeholders, including Zamfara State Governor Dauda Lawal, Minister of State for Defence Bello Mohammed Matawalle, and Senator Abdulaziz Yari Abubakar, for their continued support and efforts toward advancing the development of Zamfara State through purposeful leadership.
