Beware of APC politicians, Niger PDP warns

Date:

From Yakubu Mustapha, Minna

Niger state chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has counseled Nigerlites, especially its members, to be wary of failed APC politicians who have nothing to offer them but desperation to grab power at all cost in the state.
In a statement signed by the PDP state Publicity Secretary, Alhaji Hassan Mohammed-Saba and made available to newsmen in Minna yesterday, the party stated that these failed politicians have lost virtually all the elections they have ever contested at all levels but were only versatile in cheap propaganda for cheap political gains.

It stated that the incompetence of the APC leadership could be seen in its inability to hold a conclusive congress which has brought about division among their members.
“How can a political party that cannot hold a conclusive congress want to rule a complex state like Niger state?” Saba asked.

He added that the APC is already on the verge of collapse owing to the crisis generated by its poor and haphazard attempt to organize congresses from ward to local government and state levels adding that the people of Niger state should therefore distance themselves from the pack of incompetent people and their party.
He therefore urged Nigerlites to disregard all concocted lies being peddled by those group of self seeking opportunistic politicians against the PDP led state government in a vain attempt to hide their failure through propaganda.

Saba disclosed that a party, like its so called legacy predecessors – ACN , CPC and ANPP, will continue to fail at the polls and would soon fade away to oblivion as Nigerlites are conscious of the Governor Muazu Babangida Aliyu’s government developmental strides.

He stated that the achievements recorded so far by PDP led government in the state speaks volumes in the fields of Education, Health, Agriculture, Transportation, Investment and the development of Human Capital in line with its vision to become one of the three most developed economy in the country by 2020.
He noted that PDP will not resort to use of gutter language or mudslinging but will continue to present issues as they are unlike the APC whose stock in trade is character assassination and twisting of facts to mislead the public.
