The Zamfara State First Lady, Hajiya Hurriya Dauda Lawal, has called on Muslims across the state and Nigeria to embrace peace, unity, compassion and peaceful coexistence as they celebrate Eid-el-Maulud 2026.
Hajiya Hurriya made the call in a goodwill message to the Muslim Ummah commemorating the birth of Prophet Muhammad.
In a statement issued by the Press Secretary to the Governor’s Wife, Hajiya Rabi Yusuf, the First Lady urged Muslims to reflect on the life, character and teachings of the Prophet, particularly his virtues of compassion, forgiveness, patience, humility and tolerance.
She encouraged the faithful to translate these values into their daily lives, saying doing so would help promote peaceful and united communities capable of achieving sustainable development.
The First Lady also urged residents of Zamfara to use the occasion to strengthen bonds of brotherhood, show kindness to one another and support vulnerable and less privileged members of society.
According to her, the life of Prophet Muhammad remains a timeless example of kindness, patience and compassion, adding that Muslims should strive to demonstrate these qualities in their families and communities.
Hajiya Hurriya further called for greater commitment to national unity, religious tolerance and peaceful coexistence, particularly at a time when communities need collective efforts to build lasting peace and stability.
She prayed for continued peace, stability and prosperity in Zamfara State and Nigeria, while asking for divine guidance, mercy and blessings for families across the country.
The First Lady wished the Muslim Ummah a peaceful, reflective and joyous Eid-el-Maulud celebration.
