Date:

From Ibrahim Sidi Muh’d, Gusau

The Zamfara State Commissioner for Religious Affairs, Dr. Tukur Sani Jangebe, has charged working journalists in the state to be just and fair while discharging their constitutional duties.
Dr. Jangebe made the call on Monday while receiving members of the Correspondaents’ Chapel of the Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ) in his office at Ministry of Religious Affairs Gusau, Zamfara State capital.
Jangebe stressed that, being one of the remaining sectors that both the governments and the governed have deposited upon their confidence, Journalists are expected to always abide by the rules guiding their profession.
“I must commend the amount of contributions you gave in assisting the State Government and the security agencies towards achieving peace initiative and resolution which took the State onto the present position.
“Zamfara is now enjoying relative peace after been in flames for a decade, Journalists should be commended for the role they played not only by the State Government and the good people of the State, but are expected to be blessed by the Almighty God”, Dr. Jangebe has prayed.
He assured continuous support and partnership from the state government under the leadership of Governor Bello Matawalle, his ministry as well towards moving the state to the expected level.
