In its effort to contain the spread of coronavirus known as “COVID-19” in Zamfara, the State Eforcement Committee for COVID-19 led by the Commissioner of Police, CP Usman Nagogo has called on the general public especially private/commercial drivers, “Okada” riders, KEKE NAPEP operators and their passengers to always wear face mask, wash their hands and observe social distance.
In a statement by Command Spokesperson, SP Shehu Muhammad and made available to journalists, the call became necessary considering the appalling situation following coronavirus pandemic.
CP Usman Nagogo said, all hands must be on deck with a view to contain the rapid spread of the deadly virus, urging members of the public to abide by all government orders so that the desired result can be achieved.
The commissioner appreciated the good people of the state for complying with the restrictions of movement order imposed by the state government which is currently going on and appealed for continued cooperation to this regard.
“It is only by paying total compliance to orders placed by the concerned authorities, advice and guidelines by the medical experts as well, that the dreaded virus could be defeated, thereby making the state COVID-19-free”, CP Nagogo has further warned.
