Zamfara State Government has received 55920 doses of covid-19 vaccines alongside number of other accessories including syringes, septic boxes and packages of cotton.
Receiving the items in Gusau the Zamfara State capital, the State Commissioner of health, Alhaji Yahaya Abubakar, said the vaccination exercise will commence soon with the vaccination of the State Governor, Bello Muhammad Matawalle.
Alhaji Abubakar further informed that, each of the 55920 distributed doses will be enough to vaccinate ten persons bringing the total number of those to be vaccinated to 27960.
He said, immediately after the flag off ceremony of the exercise, health personnel will be deployed to strategic places including filling stations, motor parks, government establishments.
The Commissioner reiterated the State Government commitments towards ensuring that the targeted number of people in the state were reached out, adding that, “The ages started from the 18 to above”.
