Zamfara: Synod of Anglican Diocese calls for patience, tolerance

The 3rd session of the 8th Synod of the Anglican Diocese of Gusau has urged members to be patient, and work towards building a nation where tribal, ethnicity and religious sentiments would no longer be a dividing factor, but to make united people under God.
This was contained in a Communique issued in Gusau, Zamfara state,at the end of 3rd session of the 8th synod of the Anglican Diocese of Gusau
jointly signed by Rev. Canon Ademola Michael Synod Clerical Secretary,Chief Barr. Joshua D. Ephraim,
Diocesan Chancellor and the Rt. Rev’d John Garba Danbinta, President of the Synod.
The session was held under the direction of the Holy Spirit at the Cathedral Church of Christ in Gusau, presided over by the President of the Synod, the Rt. Rev. John Garba Danbinta, the Bishop Anglican Diocese of Gusau.
The theme of the 3rd Session of the 8th Synod was “Occupy till I come” taken from Luke 19:13,the President of the Synod Rt. Rev’d J.G. Danbinta while delivering his address, reminded Christians of God’s instructions and kingdom mandate to occupy till He comes.
“Christians were made to understand that God has graciously given to everyone of us all that we need to be relevant in the environment where He has placed us”.
“We are expected to be very committed to the issues of the kingdom, because the Master is coming back to require an account from everyone of us according to the abilities God has given to us”.
He made the church to understand that the uttermost expectations of God from us is faithfulness in what He has committed to us to do.
The President of the Synod condemned in totality, the corruption that has almost become a way of life of most Nigerians.
He called for genuine repentance both from the church and the society in order to build a nation that everyone would be proud of.
