Zamfara traditional Chief charges journalists on objectivity, accuracy

Kaura Namoda Emirate Council of Zamfara State has called on working Journalists to remain law abiding and always stick to the ethics of journalism for being stakeholders in all walks of life.

His Royal Highness Sanusi Muhammad Ahmad Asha made the call during a launching ceremony of an online television (HK TV) based in Kaura Namoda local government area.

The monarch emphasized the need for working Journalists to always be guided by the constitutional provisions which empower them to operate in the best interest of the nation’s integrity, peace, unity and tranquility.

“This is the era which the services being rendered by Journalists is highly needed with a view to assist the federal government efforts especially as it vows to restore normalcy in Zamfara, northwest zone and nation at large.

This warning was handed to members after a meeting of the party’s zonal caucus held in Makurdi at the weekend.

The warning also comes on the heels of the emergence of a new coalition known as All Democratic Alliance, ADA(a break out from the PDP) said to be spearheaded by former President of the Senate Sen David Mark in the zone.

The Zonal PDP caucus resolved to stand by their leaders especially Senator Dr. Comrade Abba Moro , Senate Minority Leader and Senator , back to the House of Representatives come 2027.
